Marconi Net – Isle of Wight Repeater

Starting on August 10th, and then on the second Saturday of each month, at 19:00 UTC (8:00pm BST during summer) the Isle of Wight Radio Society and GOTAhams will sponsor the Marconi Net. This will be a transatlantic repeater to repeater linkup (via the internet) between GB3IW and WG6OTA to facilitate our ham radio experience. (Plans are for the net to always be at 19:00 UTC. Local time will change according to daylight savings adjustments).

All hams within the range of GB3IW will have the opportunity to talk RF or Echolink through our repeater to our American counterparts using RF through their repeater. Join us for an opportunity to meet Technicians, General, Advanced and Extra Class licensees from the USA, to exchange ideas, opinions and fellowship. No special programming of your radio is required – just transmit to GB3IW as usual.
